The topic of my final presentation is The Actresses Who Dress up as Men in Hong Kong Films. And I think it is also a very interesting and unique phenomenon in Asia films.

So I choose ten famous actresses who dressed up as men in different films, including Brigitte Lin, Joey Wang, Anita Mui, etc. After some further study, I found that these films have something in common. Most of them are ancient costume films which are always adapted from martial arts novels or traditional folktales. And most of these characters have great Kong Fu or strong power which enable them to become heroines. I have also found that the release time of these films are massed in the end of the 20^th century.

I guess it is because of the rise of female consciousness. Women started to act as the main characters. And there are also some homosexual suggestions in these films.
