*There aren't many young people play the martial arts like Thai Ji; mosty, it is a leisure activity that can also maintain good health for many elderly. In Taiwan, young people play Taekwondo to learn a way to self-defense.
*Why Thai Ji's movies are more than Taekwondo's?
→In my opinion, Thai Ji can show more implied meaning and use the action to give a extend of something, for example, in Ang Lee's "Pushing Hands", he not only showed Thai Ji's pushing hands, but the balance between eastern and western cultures, it's very hard to reach the aim of balance physically and mentally.That's what Thai Ji masters pursue in their whole life.
There are very few Taekwondo movies because the attracting parts of it is the skills and techniques, they don't have any meaning to shows in each actions, they just follow the justice, so often it appears in Gangster film but combine with the hybrid-martial arts(a mixure of the martial arts actions).
*It's very pity that I didn't have time to do the actions of Thai Ji and Taekwondo that give everyone a deeper understand of them. What I am going to do in Thai Ji is called 混元樁, it is the basic method of it, they want to show the status of dou(道), a combination of sky and ground, the air will go through your whole body, then you will feel energetic once again. In Taekwondo, I want to show the easiest defence and attack-Roundhouse kick(旋踢), many movies like to put this in some fighting scene, it's the coolest action to light up the movie, they may do it in 360 degree or 720 degree.
