I like the poster
presentation by 陳相瑜. She talked about the movie “ILO
ILO”. I think she was very well prepared. Especially when she talks about the
Singapore English (Singlish), she gave us some examples which I find it very
interesting because it’s very familiar to me as I’m a Malaysian
and Malaysian English is very similar to Singlish. ILO ILO chronicles
the relationship between a family of three and their newly arrived Filipino
maid, Teresa.
She has also introduced us the
director of this movie, Anthony Chen, who was born in 1984 in Singapore.
Overall I love her presentation as well as her poster. I think she has put in a
lot of effort.
The
second presentation I love is “The Actresses Who
Dress up as Men in Hong Kong Films” which was done by 張林. Her poster featured ten famous
actresses who dressed up as men in different film, She said that most of these characters are heroines in the movies. She mentioned
that it is because of the rise of female
consciousness in the end of the 20th century. I
personally love her presentation, I think it’s very clear and easy to
understand. Some of the characters she introduced are also my favorite
characters. Her poster is simple and nice. After listening to her presentation,
I feel like watching all of the movies that she has introduced to us.
