影傳三 400050180 楊馬帝 - Poster reflection

During the poster presentation we could learn a lot, especially about Martial Arts, because many students talked about this topic. But the presentation range was very wide, this time we even had a presentation about a famous self-created Youtube channel, that often uses themes about Asian stereotypes in other cultures. It was interesting to get information about all of these topics.

The group members of the poster about Nakashima Tetsuya have informed me a lot about the movie director. I have learned that he was an advertisment director before and from that he could learn the necessary skills to create whole movies, which he also transferred his style into, because the cuts in the movie are often very fast, just as it usually appears in commercials (Especially in the movie "Kamikaze Girls").

Nakashima's early film works are more fairytale-like and very flowerful.
His film composition usually include the following:
1. He knows how to catch the audience's attention in a short time.
2. His scenes are visually stunning and appear very dramatic. In confession he used this style in slow motion.

This is Esthers own picture collection. She said she got inspired by Nakashima Tetsuya's style.

I liked he presentations and the presenters were also well-informed. I will definitely watch "Confession" soon, because I am very interested in that movie.

In another presentation I learned about Taiwanese Aboriginal themes in movies.
The presenter told me that the movies have different themes. While Seedic Bale is practically only a history (documentary-related) movie about Taiwanese Aboriginals and it is delivering a lot of information about them as well as the Japanese immigration, the two other movies "Everlasting moments" and "不一樣的月亮" do more express the difficulties of Taiwanese Aboriginals nowadays.
The presenter also said he chose that topic, because he is half-Taiwanese himself.

The presentation was very interesting, because I haven't seen any of these movies, not even Seedic Bale. Seedic Bale I haven't seen, because "war" is the genre that I dislike the most, but many friends have told me already that it is more about the culture and history. So I will definitely watch it in the future.
I also have a lot of Aboriginal Taiwanese friends, because of the "I Love Taiwan Mission" that I have attended twice. So I really want to learn more about their culture.
