Before sharing my feeling about films, I wanna make myself known to you.

 

I am Yuan Jingyi, and I 'm an exchange student from Chongqing University. Two years ago, I decided to major in Film&Television Literature just because of getting a better university. But the more thing that I leant, the more interest I got. As the proverb said: There are a thousand hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. A film like a mirror, and not only it can reflect our life, but also can refract the author's story.

So now, I'd like to say something about my favorite director and one of his famous films.

Tim Burton, an anomaly in Hollywood. He  is a deeply personal filmmaker who somehow makes incredibly successful movies, and people can see similar characters or themes that crop up thought out all his movies. If you go to see a Tim Burton film, you always know what to expect, and you are never going to be let down.

Edward Scissorhands was the turning point for Burton in 1990, and it was his first collaboration with Johnny Deep too. The main character----Edward is oddballs shunned by the society which surrounds them, much like Burton or someone else around you and me.
