The Filmmaker I would like to introduce
to you guys is James Wan. I believe most of the people knew this horror movie
series called “SAW”. James Wan is widely known for directing the horror film Saw and creating Billy the puppet. He has
also directed Dead Silence, Death Sentence, Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 2, and The Conjuring. Don’t
get me wrong, I never liked horror movies in any way, they terrify me. I just got to know this filmmaker after I watched his
latest horror movie “The Conjuring”.
As a Malaysian, it makes me
curious knowing that the man behind all these horror movies is actually a
Malaysian Chinese descent. As I said earlier, I never liked horror
movies but “The Conjuring” was really a worth watching movie to me. Even though
it is a horror movie but it doesn’t just scare you, it also spends a lot of time talking
about religious faith. Usually horror movies try to avoid talking about religion.
But there is a lot of talk
about God in this movie, religion becomes a huge part of the film, way
more than a standard horror movie. And it's kind of unique seeing a horror
movie like this.
