My favorite
director is Jack Neo. He is a famous director from Singapore whom I
knew when I was young. His film normally concentrate on realism,
which may not present glorious skill in shooting and don't have much
special effects but really close to our life. Besides, his film
always teach us some useful lesson like don't be greedy, treasure
what we have, what is the best way to communicate between parents and
children and many more. Sometimes, I even nearly cry because I'm
touched by the story . Other than that, he often play a role in his
own movie.
One of the movie
I love the most is Homerun, which I first watched in primary school.
Jack Neo is the director and act as the father of main character. The
movie reflects hardship in a poor family, that they suffer a lot
because they have no shoes to wear but the others just won't feel
sorry for them and treat them badly. The most touched part is when
the elder brother participate in the running competition with the
hope of winning bronze medal so he can get a pair of new shoes for
his young sister. He is barefooted and suffer a lot. At last he
accidentally won the first prize but he is not happy at all and even
cry. The superb acting skill of those kid actors and the sad music
make me feel so touched.
