Hello, my name is Angel.
The topic of my report: The eastern director who
had been over accepted- Akira Kurosawa
In Japan- or you can say in Asia, Kurosawa has
an honored place in filmdom.
He is even being described as the giant of
eastern culture.
Kurosawa is truly a talented director.
But, can he represent the whole eastern
culture?
If not, why so many people agree with the
title “the giant of eastern culture”?
Not only people in western world but also people in eastern world.
To western world, is it a stereotype of
Japan- or of Asia?
To Asia, it represent that our feelings of
inferiority?
In my report, I would like to discuss this
issue.
Above is my brief introduction, thank you.
