This girl is talking about pink movie in Japan. She introduce a lot about pink movies includes the shooting style of the movie. For example, she said the the actors and actress is not really having sex when they are shooting the movie. And they only shoot part of the body (breast but not virgina) to show the action of the sex progress.

Honestly I don't these kind of movies called "Pink movie" in english. I really learned a lot from her presentation. And I think she is so brave the pick this Theme because most of the people don't like to talk about this. They think it's private. I am appreciate about that and I like it very much.

This poster is about the 'Inspiration', the presenter wants to convey all these movies give him a great influence on his photographic work so he used a spiral image to show those movie photo, and the route goes in until the middle of his photo. All these photo have relation with each other, the japanese film inspired from 那山那人那狗, and the three movies all have mention family affection, the main charactors were younger generation, each of their dad have influence to them. 

 

"A picture speaks thousand words",  that's what I am going to say from this photo. When just a glimps, thoes are only photos but they are movies, they aren't simply images. The presenter gave me a impression about a photographor holds a ideal to chase the beauty in the world due to the movies or just a image. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty gives me that kind of thought ,too. A picture never brings everyone to the same place beacause we have different compehension.

楊馬帝`s poster is one of my favorite, he introduced kim-jee-woon, the first Korean director that made it to Hollywood. Most of his films are about killing, and that`s why I enjoyed his presentation very much, cause I am also very interested in horror movies. He also introduced one film which is called <A tale of two sisters>, I would really like to see it when I have time. 

Another poster that really impressed me was a girl who introduced ANG-LEE. As everyone knows that he is already very famous in Taiwan, but before her presentation, I don’t know that much about him. She said that didn’t like to study, so the relationship between he and his parents became nervous, but later, his parents sent him to America to study movies, I think this also tell us that we really should follow our dreams and do what we really want to do. The film<pushing hand>and<wedding banquet>made him famous in Hollywood . I have only seen one of his film which is called<life of pi>and I enjoyed it very much as well.

During my presentation I was talking about the Korean director Kim Jee-woon. For me the director is very interesting, because I was very surprised and also satisfied with every movie he made.
What I think is very special in Korean movies is "Revenge", because very very many movies contain that topic to create the main story. Kim Jee-Woon's two revenge movies "A Bittersweet Life" and "I Saw the Devil" are very serious and visually dark.

Kim never really directed the same genre twice: While making a movie he always wanted to escape from that what he was making, which led him to make a totally different movie right after it.

„My desire and motivation to escape from contradiction, pain and despair is that I make a totally different movie.“
The results are as followed:

„The Quiet Family“ = Too many characters
→ „The Foul King“ = Male main character
→ „A Tale of Two Sisters“ = Female character suffering emotional pain

Kim is the first Korean director that made it to Hollywood. That is very late, because it was in 2013.
He could experience some cultural differences in Hollywood:
Schwarzenegger actually said: „How do you bring somebody with so much talent to Hollywood and not have the Americans screw him up?“

Hollywood hired Kim Jee-woon for the way he completes his work, but they told him the directions of how Hollywood does movies.

In „The Good, The Bad, The Weird“ he actually took a whole month break from shooting, just to think of what to do next. Hollywood asked him to speed things up, but Arnold Schwarzenegger defended him: „Kim Jee-woon is an artist, so give him time to think“. Kim still was a collaborator, that's why he could make it so far.

I had seen several posters such as ,"黑澤明“ the bridge between western and eastern culture ,"confort food"the introduction of the directors  present their thought through the movies.
The poster that really impress me is the "confort food",there's a word in movie "總鋪師”made my impression "If there's no spirit of traditional ,how can you make the taste of tradition ?"It just remind me a life priciple to stick to .And there's another point impresses me ,"Its' name"confort food",just like Albert said "Quite interesting name".But instead of translating into "慰安食物”，I prefer the name"溫馨食物” more.Food that present your thought,your mind,the food remind you of your hometown,great memories and so on.

 It really is a funny project to learn from lots of different thoughts from different kinds of movie different directors ,it really is a great way to learn!

The reason that I wanna introduce this movie is I see the difference between Chinese students and Taiwanese students, Chinese seems more hard working than Taiwanese, I think one of the reason is because the population. And also found a interesting thing that seems a lot of Chinese people had American dreams in that centry which is more than Taiwanese people.

And the move's name in China is " 中國合夥人" but its name in Taiwan is " 海闊天空" , I think the reason why they named this movie in " 中國合伙人" is because they want to emphasize " 中國" , and the reason that it named " 海闊天空" in Taiwan is because of the political issue and also the theme song of this move is " 海闊天空" too.

It was happy to share my common to everybody and expected to hear everybody's feedback  of this movie and my common. :-)

  This week, I learned a lot from all of the presentations. One of  those i remember now is the one introduce "Horror Movie".i learned that the different way to make a horror movie from east to west. And also the different type of elements in different movies.
  Another one is the "Pink Movie", i am interested by the presentation but sadly i couldn't understand all of it because of my poor English...
  Without these two presentation, 那山那人那狗 and the one about Malaysia are also interesting to me. i can't said clearly what i had learned from them, but can say that i learned more different ways to investigate a movie, with i can learn more from each other next week.

      ''Pink Film''  made me impressive in the exhibition. Actually,''Pink Film'' was from Japan and its definition not only including sexual movies but also films that made with low budget and TV drama till the Thiller. Its projection must be show in the assigned theater. Its appearance and  boom  was in 1960.' It can categorize into two kinds. One is softcore pornography,this kind of films wouldn't appear sexual organs,like vagina and penis,the other one is hardcore pornography,you could see sexual intercourse and organs show on the screen, But until 1980' after AV(adult video)'s flourishing,Pink film's market became fewer.

      I think  ''Pink Film''  influence not only the era background that forbid sexual things show on the public but adult video flurishing from 1980' till today. The movies I had seen in the report  the content are full of      S＆M,sexual intercourse,many sexual organs's appearance. These things in Japan are seen as an art,especially I heard is BDSM(繩縛術） were mostly used in SM films,BDSM,this kind of art is still used in AV nowadays.

Hey everyone today I want to introduce Miyazaki's movies .Now you can see the three movies in the poster . One is "Spirited Away" . Another is "Princess Mononoke ".The other is " Howl's Moving Castle ".
First , I wnat to talk about Spirited away .This movie described people's freedom and confidant .
People work hard day and night just for making money or some they need in the life .
Gradually they lose themselves because they have to follow the rules in the company or school .
people care  how do  others talk about them .
But finally they still find themselves and be themselves .
Second , let see this movie Princess Mononoke . Its topic is about environment protection .For survive people developa lot of thing such as factor and guns .Although people's life are more convenient .
However environment was destroyed by human . We need to find the way to keep the balance between human and nature.
Third, Howl's Moving Castle was adapted from novel .This movie is about the love between the wizard and girl and include some anti-war sentiment .Above , is my introduce thank.

Hello everyone,my topic is Singapore in Asia.I  introduced the four important elements in Singapore of the film,ILO ILO.Before introducing the Singapore's culture,I want to describe the population in Singapore. The three main ethnic groups are Chinese 74％,Malay 13％ and Indian 9％.So, In fact, we are familiar with Singapore's image is shaped by Chinese.

  First part- Asian Finanical Crisis.The background of the film is in late 90s.It encoutered the Asian Finanical Crisis.The main character家樂's father also lost job because of it.In that time, Thailand triggered off the financial crisis,and then affected other Asian countries.- Among ,the worst affected country is Indonesia.As a result,it caused currencies and the stock market of the Southeast Asian crumbling.In the movie,we can feel heavy social pressure in that time,too.

  Second part-education system-not only in school,but also in family.ILO ILO in Chinese is爸媽不在家.But,in fact,家樂's parents are often at home.I thought the Chinese name is spiritual,because even they are at home,they do not really care about him.It is very similar with other Asian countries.Most parents consider that the biggest responsibility of education should belong to school and make sure their homework are good enough.However,the right concept is that parents should pay more concern to their children.Furthermore,we can see the corporal punishment plot in ILO ILO.Now ,it is almost banned,but factory-style education still exists-it means that school just like a factory and students are products.Factory want every single product to be the same or they will be thrown away.It limits the multiple development of students.

  Third part-the situation of foregin workers.In Singapore, 38% of employed population are forign workers. Why is there such a high proportion？Because the Singapore's government encourages the employment of foreign talents to Singapore . They divided work permits into different levels,the highest permit is Employment Pass-hold by people who have professional skills and higher education.The lowest permit is Work Permit-hold by people like Teresa,foregin domestic workers.In highly developed countries, low-skilled foreign workers are responsible for labor work,but their bitterness often be ignored.In this movie,the director use closer perspective to describe domestic worker,Teresa.We can also realize that people's emotion is beyond classes by friendship between 家樂and Teresa.

  Last part-Singlish.In the ILO ILO ,even I NOT STUPID,we can discover that Singapore has a very unique culture of languages.Singapore has four official languages,English, Malaysian language ,  Tamil language and Mandarin Chinese.What's more,because of many Chinese immigrants ,we can hear Hokkien〈福建話〉in their daily lives. Even more interesting is that Singapore creats their own style English-Singlish.It's grammar is directly applied Chinese grammar to English words.LAH is their modal particle.For example, 〝Not good one lah〞in English is 〝This is not good.〞In these years, the Singapore government tries to promote correction English for their citizens.Above,is my introduction ,thanks.

It is all about Malaysia culture.

The Journey included various culture about Malaysia and the culture shock between chinese and western.

First I will show you the festival of Malaysia Chinese New Year. In the film have show us the Parade of Deities( Chinese is 古廟游神). The temple organizes this annual in the first lunar month of 20-23rd every year. There are many type of God for difference ethnicity. For example the Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hakka and Hainan. So people can bye-bye with their own God.

The next festival is the Jade Emperor birthday(the 9th day of 1st month in Lunar Calendar. )

In this time, Malaysian Chinese will be here to bye-bye tian gong like a thanksgiving celebration. This behavior is hope to get the protection and lucky in next year. On the other hands, at the last day of the year, Malaysia have the final count down on New Year's Eve. In this event, there are many Malaysia Star to performance and stay together with audience to across the New Year. We can see that in this film, the atmosphere is getting higher and Malaysia is a uniting country.

In the film, the daily life of their talking are many difference language such as bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, Cantonese, English, Hakka, Minnam, Hokkien. Especially the bahasa Malaysia which is the main language in Malaysia. The government ordered all the school need to have the test of passing bahasa Malaysia. So the Malaysian at least can speak 3 language in their life. In the primary school life, they need to pass the UPSR exam which is continue to study the higher level in the student life.

According this culture, we can know that Malaysia are many difference country people stay together. For example Chinese, Malay, Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma, Thailand, etc. We can know that Malaysia is a diversity country and I really enjoy it.

Malaysian have 2 groups which is Malay and Malaysian Chinese. Malay in Malaysia was respected by Malaysia government. So many civil service was employed by Malay. The feature of civil service is slow motion. For example when the police arrest the people they just keep walking and slowly to arrest the criminal.

The religion is important part in Malaysia. Islam is the biggest part of religion and it is Malay's religion too.

In this film, there are many culture shock between Chinese and Western. For example, wedding party is important day of the Chinese, so they want to let all of people who is used to know. Then, they also give the wedding invitation to them. But the Western just want to have a wedding simply.

For example, to have a dinner with their parents.

Finally, I want to show you the difference in Taiwan and Malaysia.

For this sentence 'What happened?'
In Taiwanese they will ask ' 怎麼了'
But in Malaysian Chinese will ask '做麼?'
I think it is so funny in difference country to say the same feeling and have other way to say.

The topic “ILO ILO” really interested me. I think Singapore is a very special country; it is a melting-pot that combines with many different cultures. In this presentation, she introduced 4 issues in Singapore, including financial crisis, education, foreign workers and LAH Singlish. I think the part of education and LAH Singlish really impressed me. In Asia, we always faced many problems in education, for example, the rigid way of thinking and the pressure from tests. Teachers always taught us what to do instead of how to do. The school is a kind of factory; it changed the students into a testing machine, and ignored the unique part of every individuals.

I also interesting in LAH Singlish. It is a special language that created by Singaporeans. The language combines with Chinese, English, Malay, Hokkien, Cantonese, and Tamil etc. I think it is interesting because when I watch Singapore movies, I could only understand a part of what they are talking about, it’s really fascinating. And these are the reasons why I like to watch Singapore movies so much.

hi!everyone!Im Phoibe.
my topic is "horror movies:differences between Eastern and Western".I choose this topic cuz I have rarely seen the ghost appears in Western horror movie,but it is usually appears in Eastern.I think that whatever in East or West,the directer always use the tirrible sound, the dark ambience to scare audience,but they also has many differences.
I think the biggest different has 3 point,the first point is ghost expression,in East,the directer will use the shapeless mode like ghost or soul,but in West,they will use the tangible mode like role who was devil-attached or moving objects,even vampire.the second point is faith,in East,the movies plot almost have some connection with Buddhism（karma因果報應）,in West will link with Christianity（devil,satan）.and the third is what directer focus on?in East,almost is spiritual stimuli,like let the role mentally breakdown.in West is Visual stimuli,like bloody image and tortured some one's body.
in the end,I want to intorduce a movie,it call"Double Vision"（雙瞳）,the directer is 陳國富.I choose the movies cuz I think it mix the Eastern and Western element,and talk about 一貫道,retribution,but use the Western barrative ways,like do not appears ghost,just use the bloody and thriller image.I think the directer chooes like中國信託大樓,臺北市刑大,信義路,中研院 to uesd as movies scene,just want to convey the people who is live in taipeia almost does not superstition.

I`m Yu-Syuan Yang，this final project I want to talk about Kindaichkousuke(金田一耕助)，thought The Inugamin Family(犬神家一族) to see Ichikawa Kon(市川崑).
Although Kindaichkousuke is a role in novel，he`s a important detective to stand for all in Japan.He has strong accent、a little stammer 、 always wear kimono and hat.When the true is revealed.it open a personal the most beautiful and ugliest page at the same time.And perfect to act this role is Koji Ishikaza(石坂浩二)，in the film，besides how to solve the puzzle，the most important plot is love、hatred was hidden in everyone emotion.

It is a feature film that directed by Peter Chan (陳可辛) in 2013.It made Peter Chan became the first Golden Rooster Award for Best Director from Hong Kong and also made Peter Chan became the first Grand Slam director that won Golden Horse Awards, Hong Kong Film Awards and the Golden Rooster Awards these three glorious award.
American Dreams in China’s background is the big change from the 1980s to the 21st century, for 30 years.
