When it comes to Indian movies, they have a long history. In 1912, the first Indian film was born. In 1952, it was the first time India held international cinema festival. Since then, Indian movies began to go into international market. In 1955, APU was on show in multiplexes.

In the documentary film of Indian films, female directors are not mentioned all the time. Because India is a deep tradition of male chauvinism country. Indian value not women but men. Women were kept at the bottom of society for a long time.

But the film Mother India is a major breakthrough. The mother in the film is a great woman. She shot her son for saving a girl. Feminism is mentioned in the film.

As a film in India which has an important influence of the cinema, it has singing and dancing part but not belongs to the Bollywood. Most people regard Bollywood as India film, and ignore the other part of India film. 

Because of Indian history, they pay more attention to the caste system, in particular the women's status. From 1952 to 1955, the India film grew up from the process of producing films go international. So now, as a audience, we also need to treat this kind of movie with the development of the view.

A mother has shot her son because he wanted to kidnap a girl. Even though she doesn't stand behind the law, but she did it out of righteousness. But she still regrets it in the end, because she shot her own son (family is forever). Honestly, as a director I would have skipped the scene where the mother regrets what she did. The scene where she shot her son had a strong impact in my opinion, but it might have been destroyed by the next scene.

              Here's about a love story of master and servant. Although the story is romantic here, but I think the most impressive moment is that the servant snuffed out the candle by her own hands, it was astonishing!

       This scene is about a mother who killed her son with a gun because she want to save a young girl from being rape by her son to protect the girl's chastity. I think that it shows the feminism of India.

The first picture shows a carter who is pulling a man. Beside him is a horse. The man on the coach keeps asking the carter to run faster as if the horse is whipped to run faster. It represents that a human being is treated as a stock.

The second picture  is a woman with a gun. She just shot her son to keep another girl’s virginity. It is a very shock vision. What kind of the concept can make a mother kill her own son? How strong the idea can be that make her forget he is her own son?

   In this picture, we can see that the poor man who made a living by pulling rickshaw（人力车）was doing the same work as a hourse did. While the rich man on the rickshaw continually urged the puller to speed.
  This Indian film reflects the social reality, the gap between the rich and the poor. That's why I chose this shot.

The movie of India I think is quite commercial,flower but no fruit,and their movie techniqe is like :Wow! That's really....unique!But what we can't deny is that it has the spirit of India

Sant Tukaram is a  biogrphy  movie , and he is  considered as one of the most important saints of the Bhakti Movement., which does a lot of great work for Indian, but still has some mysterious story about him. Unlike Bollywood movie always dance and sing ,  traditoinal indian movie a little bit  realistic to me.

This scene drew my attention when I saw this woman's face right after she shot her son. It was already overwhelming enough seeing this kind of plot, it surprised me even more that it was made in Indian.

    Snake is the symbol of time. Worship of snake means worship of time, and shows regularity of life. Sign of snake says to forget and abandon the past and accept the present and new things. It shows the attractive personality and develops virtue. Snake is the energy of life. Snake indicate watchfulness and wisdom. It has great significance as such in dreams.This is the reason why so many Indie Films are about snakes.

In all ages, equality has always been one of the hot topics for most people who has been worked about film. Whatever the equality of sexes or the equality of races, the older that the age was, the grimer that the trouble was. 

The movie"Black Republic" showed all the South Korea's status in 1990. Fugitives' life and kept women's living complete the statement about corruption and disillusion. 

Maybe we can regard this film theme as South Korea's native culture, but we also be know how miserable that the Asian was in that age under the power from other western countries.

Awesomely drawn picture of "Black Republic".
The actor flees into a mining village after leading democratic movements. He has become a traitor, since it was against the law. After fleeing to a new place, he starts a new life with a fake ID.
I haven't seen the movie but it interested me the most of all, so I will definitely watch it in the future. It appears to be a slow and calm movie, I found most of those Korean movies very interesting until now.

I want to talk about the director Kim Ki-Duk,  his movies has appeared his criticism about the power that force the limitation to human.

The movie which impressed me called"Barefoot Youth"1964.A romance appeared between the couple,  but their relationship been objected.

When it comes to the historical perspective in the documentary film of Korean films, female directors are not mentioned in the film all the time. Because Korea is a deep tradition of male chauvinism country. Korean value not women but men. Women were kept at the bottom of society for a long time. Male directors focus on real situation and social condition in Korea.

In the documentary film, my favorite film is <<Ticket>>. 林权泽 directs this film. His film style is realistic. This film reflects the whole Korean society at that time by underlying women. The film concerns the problem of social contradiction.

The most impressive director in Korea in my mind is Im Kwon-taek. He is called that ''Godfather of Korean movie'' because his movie  were mostly about Korean culture. Exactly,he is the best model in Korean films,including he leaded Korean filmmakers to against breaking rationing system. Then,they successfully guaranteed existence of Korean films to keep Korean movies surviving.

What most impress me was a shot that occur in the national boundary of South Korea and North Korea. There is a seascape in the scene. The blue, wide ocean makes me think of the strange phenomenon in human’s world. In the nature world, the concept “national boundary” does not exist. It’s be created all by human being. In my opinion, the camera then moves to the scene of wire netting that strengthens this concept.

The special relationship between South Korea and North Korea influence the culture in Korea peninsula. Whether positive impact or negative impact, the history is truly rooted in their mind.

I think the director is trying to show us the cruelty of the war.
In this picture, the soldier knelt down in front of his dead fellows. He yelled painfully with his face upward. Behind him, smoke of the flame filled the air, and the field was littered with corpses.This scene really gave me a heartquake.
